Serve

There will always be poor people in the land. Therefore, I command you to be openhanded towards your fellow Israelites who are poor and needy in your land.

–Acts 20:35

We are a Four for Four church in the
Presbyterian faith, meaning that we contribute
to the four Special Offerings every year.

  • One Great Hour of sharing is collected at Easter time and goes to support hunger programs and mission throughout the US and the world.
  • Pentecost recognizes the importance of nurturing our youth and providing opportunities for them to grow in faith.  40% is kept locally.
  • Peace & Global Witness offering focuses on peace and justice in cultures of violence.  25% is kept locally.
  • Christmas Joy gift honors the faithfulness of current and retired church workers and their families needing health, natural-disaster or other financial support.  It also provides financial aid for future leaders to attend colleges and universities.

Our church family embraces mission
locally and abroad.

Milford Miami Ministry

We are very active in our local food pantry run by the Milford Miami Ministry, serving as volunteers and giving generously of our money, food and clothing.  Our church also provides storage space for the pantry overstocks. Every month we collect for a specific need whether it be food, cleaning supplies, or clothing.

Blessing Bags

We have a tradition at our church of collecting blessing bags the last Sunday of the month.   Throughout the month as we see the Lord working in our lives, we put a coin or bill into our bags in grateful thanks for so many blessings we receive every day.   In turn, we then pass those donations on with a prayer that we can be a small blessing to others.  We have had the joy of supporting many local and global mission such as Shop with a Cop, Habitat for Humanity, our local safe-house for women, City Gospel Mission and Teen Challenge.

Matthew 25

On the second Friday of every month, we volunteer at Matthew 25 Ministries, a local organization that ships tons of clothing, medical supplies, hygiene products and so much more to provide disaster relief to people throughout the US and the world.
We go as a group on the second Friday of every month.  If you want to carpool meet at the church at 9:00 am or meet at Matthew 25 at 9:30 am.

Sewcialize & Serve

Quilters gather from around the Cincinnati area to make quilts for Cincinnati Children’s Hospital at Christ Presbyterian Church. These quilts are given to children as they go through medical procedures to provide comfort and warmth.

This project started in April 2021 and the Sewcialize Quilting Group has donated over 700 children’s quilts. Fabric has been donated, so just bring your sewing machine, thread, food and drink for lunch.

If you don’t sew, that’s OK! We do need help with sorting fabric, ironing, gluing quilts together or crocheting baby hats! We meet the second Monday of each month from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm. For more information call Martha Enriquez (513) 260-4352.

Samaritan’s Purse

Operation Christmas Child is a project of Samaritan’s Purse, Franklin Graham’s organization that responds to the physical and spiritual needs of those in crisis.
Since 1993 more than 209 million children have received a shoebox gift that has brought 1 in 5 children to Christ.  Our church family have provided shoeboxes for more than 15 years and we are now a drop-off center to churches and organizations in the Milford area.
